TAM calculator for agencies: how many potential clients are in your market

TAM is the total market that could buy your service. This calculator helps you measure an observable opportunity before investing in a lead list.

Quick answer

TAM is the universe of businesses that could fit your offer, not a promise of sales. For an agency, it helps compare industries and countries, put a revenue hypothesis on top of a real base, and decide where to look for leads first.

Adjust the hypothesis

Calculate your observed market

Choose an industry and country. Then adjust the monthly ticket and close rate to model potential revenue from the real base count.

Methodology

A candid read of a first-party base

Data cut

LeadCanvas first-party base: 231,349 unique businesses from 245,755 records, across 403 cities, captured in 2026.

Main result

We aggregate by industry and country after deduplicating on normalized name, city, and country code. Phone and WhatsApp coverage keep their denominator for each combination. The seed declares a WhatsApp field, but it is false on every record; 0% is not proof of national absence.

What it does not cover

This is not a national census or a guarantee of fit, intent, or revenue. It does not cover businesses outside the cities reviewed, and the free result does not show company names.

Frequently asked questions

Answers about TAM limits and use

Is the business count the national TAM?

No. It is the count of unique businesses in our base for the selected industry, country, and covered cities. The national market is larger, but we do not assign it a point total without a comparable source.

How is potential monthly revenue calculated?

The calculator multiplies businesses by the share with a public phone, the close rate, and the monthly ticket. It is a commercial capacity hypothesis, not a guaranteed sales forecast.

What does the contactable percentage mean?

We use a public phone on the business record as an observable contact signal. It does not confirm that the number answers, that the person decides, or that the business needs your service.

Why are concrete companies missing from the result?

The free result is limited to the market aggregates. The concrete business list and prioritization work continue in the LeadCanvas app.
